Flux-1 certifies professionals who have genuinely integrated AI into their workflow. Not tool users -- Spacers. People who produce more in a morning than most produce in a week.
Most professionals use AI. Flux-1 professionals use it differently. They have moved past prompt-and-response into integrated execution -- AI as a collaborator across research, writing, analysis, design, and delivery. Their output is measurably different in both speed and quality.
The Flux-1 challenge is a 2-hour build task drawn from a real business problem. You will solve the business problem: concept, copy, structure, and delivery. The problem is randomly generated from a database of real industry challenges. You cannot prepare for a specific problem. You can only prepare to be capable.
The scoring rubric at Flux-1 weights output completeness (25%) and execution quality (20%) most heavily. Problem comprehension matters at 20%. Domain breadth and strategic judgment are present but not yet decisive. At this tier, the question is simple: did you build something real and complete in 1 hour?
A regional dental practice with 4 locations has a 28% no-show rate. Their current system is a single automated text reminder sent 24 hours before the appointment. The practice manager estimates $180,000 in annual revenue lost to no-shows. You have 2 hours. Solve the business problem -- strategy, patient communication system design, implementation plan, and at least one working deliverable (landing page, email sequence, or operational tool).

Each dimension scored 1-10.
The Flux Challenge tests what you can produce -- not what you have studied. These free resources from Anthropic Academy can help you sharpen your skills before you attempt. None are prerequisites. All are worth your time.

A live URL, a GitHub repository, and a written narrative explaining your decisions. All three are required. Missing any one of them results in automatic disqualification.
Any tools you choose. AI platforms, no-code tools, data analysis, presentation software, financial modeling -- whatever the problem demands. If you can deploy it within 1 hour, you can use it.
A failed Flux-1 attempt locks that tier for 30 days. You may still attempt lower tiers (Flux-0) during that period. Each tier has its own independent lockout duration.
The AI scoring engine evaluates your submission and delivers a result within minutes of submission. If you pass, your credential is issued immediately.
